I am in SoCal too and the prospect of "the big one" is
daunting. Given you are a small - medium size organization,
you may want to give hosted Exchange a serious look, that
would solve half your problem, and the costs have come
down a lot. Also definitely look into alternatives to the
venerable T1, which is getting long in the tooth -- business
class cable broadband is worth a look.
