Marty,
Why do you continue to lecture people, about why they should be "happy" about losing their jobs to foreign H1B/L1 workers? It's not only demoralizing and rude, it's completly illogical. Sorry, it's just that your arguments don't make any sense and they do not provide solutions. No, you are wrong. US citizens, do not have need to accept corrupt government policies, a transfer of jobs, $money, and knowledge and/or the "dumbing down of America". And while we should be greatful for what we do have, we DO NOT need to advocate and/or feel "glad" about handing over our friggen jobs to foreign TEMP workers JUST because the unemployment rate is higher in Russia =P! Again a faulty argument. And might I remind you, we live in America, not Russia!
As I've said before, you're attitude would in fact be much different if you were a US citizen, working as a "techie" for the last 10 years. You should try to realize your errors in thinking and refrain from illogical lectures and rhetoric... that tells an entire industry of educated professionals: Go out and find a new line of work; get another degree. Dude, this isn't going to cut it - it's seems you don't get it yet. Sorry again, but your "stop whining" argument is erroneous by nature because it assumes that the reason people can't get jobs is because they are "whining". Ugh... this is NOT the case. It's not reality. So, we would appreciate not only some understanding, but intelligent suggestions and discussions towards a 'solution'.
I'm sure you are a hard worker and it sounds like you've paid your dues, but you are NOT in the same spot that US workers are in. You are NOT a US citizen, you are not working in a career that is purly "technical" in nature and you are NOT competing with H1Bs in the US job market =).
