WOW!! This video has been posted for two days and no one has started any Gates-bashing!!
I liked the video but not much was said about Win98. I personally had to be dragged kicking and screaming to upgrade to XP; I like it now.
But what about the product that, I believe, singlehandedly (is that a real word?) pulled MS from the precipice of WIN2000/ME disaster?
HALO.
Discussion on:
Win2K and Win98SE kept MS going until XP and the X-Box came into their own. The main reason Win2K never became very popular was the very short interval (20 months) between the release of Win2K and the release of WinXP.
My laptop ran Win2K until the hard drive crashed last summer; at that time it was upgraded to WinXP. I like XP for what it doesn, but if I could go back to Win2K from XP, I most likely would.
