We don't get free sodas here at TechRepublic, but we do get them for 25 cents so that's not too bad.
I've read several books about Bill and supposedly he's naturally tight with a dollar. There's one book which relates the story of him going to a grocery store to purchase some ice cream and holding up the checkout line looking for a coupon. He took so long that someone in line gave him the money he would have saved. Supposedly he took it and left.
