I never said there wasn't bloat, you did. I never said the bloat wasn't a fair exchange (generally) for the productivity increases Jacqui did.
Jacqui quite justifiably feels that that he personally doesn't see enough productivity gains to offset the cost of the bloat.
Conversely we as pretty much GUI oriented winders developers do.
Get off your high horse mate, lack of oxygen is affecting your thinking.
All development is compromise, that means no one is going to be be deliriously happy with it, and several are going to think it's crap.
Such is life...
Oh and remember there's a difference between inventing a wheel and settling for a hexagon because it's there....
