In my most recent blog post I recount what I've learned about EPEAT, an IT purchasing resource for those who want to consider environmental factors in their buying decisions.



EPEAT uses a particular ratings model based on the IEEE 1680 standard, and has been adopted as an authoritative buying guideline by the US Federal Government. I'm sure there are lots of other large enterprises that have environmental assessments as part of their purchasing criteria.
