Like all the signs of disaster were right there. Not good. What is good is that you saw them early and took the appropriate corrective action.

In MN there is a lot of drinking that occurs in the winter. You don't see it as much in the spring and summer months. I wonder how much of that is predicated by the freezing temperatures and hunting season?

The SO has never been able to call me high maintenance. Any woman who is willing to camp in a tent in the fall in northern MN cannot be considered high maintenance. Superior National Forest is beautiful but it is also COLD! And in hunting season there is only one sensible color to wear- blaze orange. I can generally manage about three days of no running water, freezing my tail off and little personal maintenance. After that, I want to use a flush toilet!
