?Afghanistan, the country that DID have something to do with terrorism was abandoned to be gradually reclaimed by the Taliban?
Wrong, it was handed over to the UN, look at anything the UN has led the way with and you will see failure. Fact is the UN is the reason why we the US had to go back into the Iraq. All they want to do is talk.
?Bush had the back bone to attack Iraq, a country that had nothing to do with terrorism whatsoever?
Get your facts straight, the Iraq issue was due to the UN not backing up its own sanctions. In addition there was creditable evidence that that they were building a nuke program. This was not just what Bush thought, but also may leaders in the world at the time. Including the Vice President Al Gore, it is documented if you have the courage to look it up and believe what you find.
?There are now more people and terrorists that hate America as a result of these policies than there were before 9/11?
Care to support your statement with facts. Saying so does not make it so. Provide the data that supports this. Those that say they do not like us now, never did in the first place. They only tolerated us. Most of these are communist and liberal governments. Look at France, they have taken a 180 and have elected a new conservative government because the people got fed up with all the social policies and how they were seen in the world.
?And then there is the outrageous economic cost - money that could be used on REAL security and improving America's infrastructure was squandered on Bush/Cheney's private war. Combined with their disastrous economic policies, it has left America weaker than ever.?
Again, where are the facts? Sure money has been spent, but the cost spent on the war is dwarfed in comparison to the trillions of dollars spent on social programs that have done nothing to solve the problems they were created for. Unless it was to line some politicians pocket,
Also what infrastructure problems do we have? Roads? I can still get to work with no issues, Planes, I have flown several times this years and have arrived with the delays I have always had. This could be solved by letting them build more airports, but there are too issues and red tape to get thru to do that, thanks to the eco nuts.
If you want disastrous policies, talk a look back at what Clinton did and you will see the problem being conceived.
I agree that Bush could have done more to stop it, but the left did what it could to prevent it at all costs.
What I want to know is will the world be a better place if the left comes into power on day one? Or will you say we need time to sort it all out first. If memory servers me correctly, Bush was responsible for the mini-recession when he took office before any of his policies were ever put into action back in 2001.
