Is Ballmer crazy?
Willy MacWindows Updated - 6th Nov 2008
Having watched this video of Ballmer trying to make a silk purse from a sows ear, I have to ask...is he crazy? He is essentially telling us that Windows 7 is Vista but better, but it's not an SP or second release but a full release. He makes NO compelling argument to convince me that this is a next generation of Vista, this is in fact a replacement for Vista and they haven't the fortitude or integrity to admit it.

As a business owner I am quite angry that Microsoft is forcing me to purchase Vista and downgrade to XP in order to inflate the sales numbers of a horribly flawed OS. If he sat there and said "Vista was a failure and we are quick to market with a better product to make peace with you, our customer" then I would not be so angry. Instead I am being told, you have to get Vista on anything new and you will have to pay yet again to have it replaced because it's no good in the first place.

Some have had good expeiences with Vista, but more than most have not. This whole scenario reminds me of W2K being followed by XP. This video only succeeds in making me incredibly angry and possibly developing a class action suit against Microsoft.
So, can MS just admit Vista was ME the Sequel and say
7 is like XP was to 2k. Jeez.

A little honesty MS, we're not stupid.
