WordPerfect
When I hear of a significant discovery using Word, I try to remember how many years prior WordPerfect had similar technology in place. With all respect to Word loyalists, Word is a very comprehensive prgm. However, it is not as intuitive, full featured, and simple to use as WordPerfect. I am forced to use Word at work. Much of my problem is that whenever I do a Word tutorial, I keep asking myself, why do they make it so complicated? (I find myself mentally making continual comparisons to the simplicity of WordPerfect) I used to think Word was created by techies for use by ordinary people. If it ain't complicated, a techie probably isn't happy. I am so wanting to remove Word at work and install WordPerfect. No can do with the IT cops watching. I used WordPerfect for all my papers duing college and grad school. Then my problems started because my MBA team only used the "industry standard"...Word. HA! At the time, my team had problems opening my WordPerfect docs. Then I had to give up my beloved "reveal codes; make it fit; formatting ease; and so forth.
Anyway, it is my perception that WordPerfect still leads the way. Comprehensive, intuitive, and cheap...so simple to use. I heard the new WordPerfect is super on conversions to Word for "others" in the world...may just purchase and install. In closing, it is so refreshing to hear someone speak up for WordPerfect. WordPerfect is number one!! :):)
