Because the Google implementation of this technology is very new it is possible that there may be some issues, however it looks good so far and I am hopeful that they will grow this product as it evolves. Would you consider using Google Voice once its open, based on the items that have been showcased here?
It may help me to understand why regular phone numbers are not what is wanted.

Google Voice brings some of the features of enterprise VOIP, like find/follow and single instance voicemail.

Recently SMS forwarding was added to the service and the proxied numbers allow GV to forward calls from the sender to you. This way your Text messages and calls can come from the same number
