In my post for this week I write about App Update, a utility that provides notifications when new versions of your 3rd-party Mac applications are released.

I like App Update because it's free and non-partisan--that is, it checks several repositories, rather than being restricted to one download site.

How do you keep track of 3rd-party software releases?
