At least the "barrage of emails" part, which is usually caused by having one of the "Special Offers" boxes checked.

Click on the "My Newsletters" link at the top right of the page. When the manage newsletters page opens, go to the very bottom, check the "Unsubscribe from all" box, then click on the Update button.

You can now return to the newsletter management page and select ONLY those you wish to see.
