RE: Why did you try programming?
This is my third career, wish it had been my first... but then I probably was not in the right head space when I was much younger. I got into programming when I was in my 40's and it appealed to me because of the logic and the ability to create. When I look at programs in use on machines (i.e. at the restaurant, point of sale type thing) I try and imagine how it works internally and it facinates me. Gaming also, I am thinking of trying my hand at that. I play XBox and WoW, much to the surprise of the "young" folks at the local game store when I go in to buy more games or return ones I have played. They often say "Wow, I think it's great that someone like you plays these games" and I'm going "someone like me" what do you mean by that! Sorry, I just realized I was ranting a bit about my pet peeve! Enough said!
