I can get by with the touchpad for awhile, but I much prefer a mouse. How about you?

Bluetooth is also a 2.4Ghz RF technology. It's quite likely that Logitech implements an automatic pairing or the mouse and receiver are permanently paired. The old technology was 27Mhz RF (Citizens Band radio and RC toys), though there are still products on the market using this.
