Yeah, DRM sucks. I refuse to use anything that institutes it. I still use Media Player 9, and that forces me not to be able to see media on some websites that has more recently developed webapps with embedded WM10/11 features.

I don't care tho. If the RIAA wants to catch someone, they need to get off their butts. Not send anyone out to do their dirty work...including Microsoft.

As for Vista, I had to accept it on 2 of the laptops I owned. Neither Dell nor Gateway would downgrade my installed OS to XP x64 Pro. They said they couldn't. Microsoft wouldn't allow them to. And I was like: "Uh, my job does it all the time with Dell on business PCs. Are you saying you sell different Windows licenses to businesses?"

The phone reps had no answer. They just kept parroting "I am sorry, sir. We can't do that." in their best faux-English-speaking, script reading voices.

Blah. Can you tell I hate the RIAA?
