I've been doing this (hardcore tech) since high school in the late 70s. I have a cell phone which has voice (obviously), text (wife only), "who called?", a directory, and a camera/video. No games, nothing fancy. The missus wanted an iPhone 3Gs and she got one.

I don't need a Star Trek tricorder.
