Almost gotta wonder with hardware being so inexpensive why we just don't use something as simple as a RAID1 setup on new computers. Some systems have now have built-in RAID controllers as an option. But even 3rd party controllers are dirt cheap. If you crash one drive, at least you've got a complete mirror on the other. Solid State Drives are also now becoming a viable option.
