One question I ask...
The question I ask goes like this:

Do you provide and expect me to wear a paging device and/or cellphone?


This, naturally, leads to further inquisition regarding on-call hours, on-call compensation, and whether or not I am expected to answer calls at 3 AM Sunday morning or whilst on PTO.

This gives me a VERY lucid picture of just how things operate at said company.
