went to the website at tetherberry.com and they do have a 7 day trial available. I downloaded and installed both the app for my BlackBerry Curve and the Windows app for the laptop. Both apps installed with no problem. You do have to plug the device into the laptop and start the BB app first. Then start the app on the laptop and it seems to connect just fine.
Connection speed is a bit like using dial up again, however, I did have only 2 bars as far as signal strength. I will continue to test, but I think this could be a very useful application especially if you really need access. Such as accessing a work VPN for support. It would be slow but it should work. I will probably purchase to have as an alternate way to provide support.

Right now I am paying $15 a month to Verizon for this tethering service. I will be cancelling that soon and just use this app. After I go through the trial of course...
I have a BB 8830 and I use the Windows app. "Sprint Mobile Broadband" No need to install on phone.
No problems here. And it's free.

Is there anything available for the "Instinct" from Samsung connected to Sprint?
I visited their offices yesterday to have a "Tune-up" on this Samsung and discovered that BB isn't part of the "Instinct" SmartPhone devices. (Sigh ...)

I have the old BlackJack on AT&T. I added a Bluetooth dongle to my computer and use the Internet Sharing app. Start the App on the BlackJack, connect to the PAN from the laptop and I'm connected. Easy peezy!
Having had two BBs (Nextel, T-Mobile) I never thought either was this handy.
