My 'magical presence' actually got me my first job in IT. I started helping the one IT guy that the company had by fixing printer errors, or other minor things. Most of the time, by the time I got to the person's cubicle, the problem had cleared up, and people started associating my presence with the problem being fixed.

Got me moved to another parent company doing IT full-time.
