What do we call the technologies listed then? While I'm really enjoying this list, I keep thinking, So what do I call the intranet then? It's not Remote Access or VPN although you use those technologies to connect to the intranet. Eh, maybe I'm just old and grouchy. I don't know alternate names for these technologies and i'm feeling unhip. Here's what I think some of the term switches are

PDA - Smartphone
ASP - Cloud Computing
Web Surfing - surfing? wasing time?
Weblog - blog or social media web2.0???
Internet Telephony - VoIP???

sigh maybe i need to hand in my IT language skill card. I don't know any of the other terms replacement term or the name of the technology that supercede them...sigh...oh,well I still get my job done.
