Delphi and Delphi for .Net are alive and well
As already stated, Borland is now out of the picture, and CodeGear/Embarcadero have been doing a good job. Both on native Delphi and Delphi Prism.

As for Delphi Prism being behind because Microsoft won't let it get ahead, that sounds a little tin foil hat to me.

If you really want features, go to the Delphi home page, look at the replay videos from the online CodeRage conference or look at Delphi related questions on Stack Overflow. You might be surprised how far they've come.
