what is the purpose of acceptance testing,and what would you expect an acceptance test to investigate?

I actually disagree on this article. While it is understandable that you request the customer to be the ultimate judge, at least for consumer facing software, the end-customer, the consumer while vote on the fate of a product or a service. From a contractual point of view, you are right.
