PartitionMagic 8 does not seem to care whether or not the drive is RAID, so long as DOS sees the drives as one disk. I regularly re-sized, added, and removed partitions during the five years a RAID system was in use.

It was an Asus motherboard with an Intel controller chip. I installed the Intel Application Accelerator (now Matrix) software with Windows, but neither DOS nor Linux needed it.
