One thing about Google is they gather many details about you if you use them. This could just add another piece of data to their massive files. Do you really want Google to record your web journes destinations?

I wonder if Google has heard of Opendns?

I have used it for years with excellent results. It is quick and accurate and I see no evidence of DNS shaping, if that even is a valid concept for a dns server.

Ohyes... Opendns will correct your URL if you make a mistake typing it in some casees. Of course you still have the option to go to that url or not.
