W2k8 R2 has changed the naming convention for TS. It's now RDS (Remote Desktop Services). That's not all they changed!
The "Direct Access" feature of TS used to allow RDP and streamed applications, through RemoteApp, to be run from within a browser session. They updated the client and server components to only allow "Direct Access" between W2k8 and Windows 7.
This would enable the server RDP call to be made from the server hosting the RDWeb page. Without "Direct Access" the RDP call is made from the client machine all the way back to the server hosting the application.
I will not allow my private IPs to be exposed to the public domain. This makes it impossible to provide applications to my customers.
