AVG = Serious Problems with Vista and Win 7
I used to recommend AVG to all my clients. It was efficient and did the job it was supposed to. Recently I suspect they have run aground financially, having replaced their CEO. I had one round earlier this year where downloads from IE and Firefox were immediately deleted, and others where the Internet connection stopped working all together. Never mind common malware such as Trojan Vundo and Hacker Defender have no problem setting up residence.

That said, even systems with Norton Anti-virus 2010 get infected, although it appears to be able to prevent full rootkit infiltration leaving the system repairable.

So why is it that the majors in Anti-virus are unable to find these infections where ComboFix, Malwarebytes etc find dozens of viruses on a system declared clean by AVG, Avira, Norton etc?
