AVG - what's up with them ?
As an AVG user for years I use both the Free version at home and at work we have the Paid version.
Fact is that the latest versions of AVG are slow when scanning.
I accept this for the Free version because it's free
and as I have not been hit with anything at home I will continue to use it. (of course I also have a fw and other protection - onion principle)
At work I am now looking for other alternatives as AVG is just too slow and really causes problems for some of our users. I'm not sure if it's the age old problem of trying to create software that does everything, or just bad programming, but I want an Anti-virus scanner that is fast, good, and doesn't affect the users ability to work.
