What would have happened if the employer told the 26 employees that they could keep their jobs if they separated all relations with the union?
More examples: Delta (pilots union), GMC (well we are all paying for those union retirement now. Of course the union doesn't want their members to give up anything), Steel workers union (Japan dominates the steel industry because of unions), International Longshore and Warehouse Union (Threatened to stop working in California, which would have cost the country millions).
I never have, or will, belong to a union. However my employer pays for my health care. They used it as an incentive to work for them. I think unions bread distrust between the employer and employee. I am very thankful for all the trouble my employer went through to start his business. Loans I can't imagine, stress, long hours, but not ungrateful employees. He gave me a way to put food on the table. Thank you boss! That's never said enough.
