You own this American a pound.
"I'd wager a pound to a penny, the stereotypical American viewpoint was completely indifferent to the thought of terrorism on September 10th 2001. Guaranteed. Period."

The first World Trade Center attack in 1993, the 1996 Khobar Towers in Saudi Arabia, the 1998 US Embassy attacks in Africa, the attack on the USS Cole in 2000, .......

A lot of us were aware of the attacks on our country before 2001, and we wanted to do more about it that lob a cruise missle into an empty tent in a desert or up the back-side of a camel. But no, too many other Americans wouldn't listen.

So I guess you're right - myself (and others) excluded.
