Consider this:

You do a google search , say you are looking for something a little shady, but not illegal, and google gives you results and you innocently click on a link.

Then you end up on a page that has kiddie porn. You just broke the law, google turns over "evidence" against you to the US government and the "evidence" against you is on your hard drive.

Now 20 years ago this might have been called entrapment but today it is all your own problem.
