Work machines are wiped and re-imaged when any malware is detected. Just not worth our time to go through 1600+ machines trying to individually repair each one. Policy is that any data is stored on the network and not affected by the wipe and re-image.

A personal machine gets different treatment. I'll spend 4-5 hours trying to clean out any malware before going to the recover as much data as possible then wipe and re-install scenario. Too many people still think backup is something you do in your car.
