Although I did not experience Windows 7 problems in the same way you expressed my sentiments exactly re MS. As a 20yr MS loyalist I am frustrated. My Sony VAIO laptop is stuck with VISTA that does not run legacy apps, Office 2007 is terrible for an experienced Office use and Microsoft seems uninterested in any feedback on how to improve it.

You said it perfectly: "Too big, too dominant, too complacent, too dismissive of the competition and just basically too tired."

As soon as there is a viable alternative, I am gone.
