Product Spotlight: Motorola Devour

I thought I would post a couple of notes as an "update" on this review.

The reason I reviewed a phone with version 1.6 of Android is because that is the OS that shipped with the phone and I had limited time with the device. I would have run an upgrade, but this leads to another issue -

One of my other phones (one which served as a basis for comparison) is the HTC Hero. HTC is REALLY dragging their feet on upgrading Android (so much so I have almost retracted every good thing I have had to say about that device). because of this, my phone is at version 1.56. So it made for a more fair speed comparison with the Devour.

As far as networking speeds...my comparison was based on the two Android machines plus a Droid (running an updated OS) and an iPhone 3G. The Devour blew all three phones away with regards to networking speeds and OS speed.

I hope that clears up any confusion on this review.
