You have excellent points about defining humanity. I have thought of Data and Andrew as versions of Pinocchio, that is a made thing that wants to be human.

Alzheimers and dementia are terrible diseases that destroy those aspects of being human that we hold in high regard. It is my hope that I die with my mental faculties intact and not in a fogged state of mind.
