We have a bunch of older laptops that just won't run Windows 7 without significant upgrades for which we don't have the budget. I would love to start rolling out Ubuntu desktops, I am willing and able to do the necessary training, and I am comfortable with the OS.

What I would like to hear from the community are the ways that you approached such issues both with users and als owith management. I would love to learn from other people's experiences, good or bad.
