From the description given, before your points, I wonder if this is an actual article based on experience. From your Bio, you should have NEVER been attacked, as you of ALL people, would NEVER have let yourself into this situation.
And I apologize, I just don't believe you attached a laptop, netbook, whatever, to a hotel connection WITHOUT AV.
The points you make for first responders, make some sense, but they're lost in the inconceivability you'd have this happen.
I'm really beginning to wonder about the quality -- and veracity -- of the blogs here, at TR, ZDNet, etc., as it seems a lot of you bloggers, just for something to write, act as the end users I deal with daily.
And YOU'RE PROS, or you wouldn't be writing!
