SQL 2005 Express
I have been asked to provide a new report. One which takes the data from a SQL view and match it up against a CSV file. Both the view and the csv have the same columns, and the PK is the same in both formats.. I need the 'job' to look at both pieces of information and provide me with any differences between the two on a daily basis.
The SQL view has 5 rows of data but the CSV only has 4. I need to know which row is missing from the CSV, or vice versa. This 'exception report' can be in either SQL format or CSV format, or Excel for that matter.
Anyone have ANY ideas on how to get this to work? If you need more information, please feel free to ask and I'll do my best to provide it.
Thanks in advance!
