I was going off older data that had said that Apple was approaching 18% of the total market share (Linux at about 2%, and Windows with the rest). But I've seen all kinds of numbers, depending on what you're using to quantify your data and what results you're interested in producing. I was being generous. I've argued before that I think these facts and figures are virtually useless (for some of the reasons I allude to in this paragraph, above). I think that basically what you *see and experience* in the field is the best indicator of where those numbers lie - and I very rarely go somewhere and see a bunch of Macs, and almost NEVER go anywhere and see a bunch of Linux machines, but almost EVERYWHERE I go, I encounter Windows systems.
So, in a nut-shell, I do not disagree with you on this observation. Who really knows for sure.
