I did a google search for free dvd ripper. What mainly come to my eyes are Handbrake, Xilisoft, Winxdvd and Wondershare. In order to get best quality, iv tried one by one.

Handbrake: with VLC media program, it takes me 10 hours to rip 2hours and a half movie.
Xilisoft: when i click add file in this program comes a windows that says:
A VIDEO SEQUENCE HEADER IS NECESSARY FOR VERY GOP IN A STANDARD DVD.
THE VIDEO SEQUENCE HEADER IS INCORRECT
Winxdvd: though the speed is really fast, I am confused with the parameter setting.
Wondershare: the actors' spoken words don't match the movement of their lips.

So, can I do a search here?
Question1: when you choose a DVD ripper, what you most care about?
A, free B, speed C, quality D, easy-to-use
Question2: if you have chance to choose one from the above, which one do you prefer?
A, Handbrake B, Xilisoft C, Winxdvd D, Wondershare

Left to right. Top to bottom. Inside and out.

No compunctions here.

10 - 15 minutes to rip an entire DVD. Of course, your hardware plays a big role in that.

I'm as quick on the 'spam button' trigger as the next guy, but I'm giving this one the benefit of the doubt.

Yes, it's another brand new member going on about ripping to DVD, but there's no links, no advertising. Just a list of options.

Now, if another new one pops up linking to and raving about a particular choice, then I'll change my mind.
