Victor 9000
I was running an NCR 8270 when all of these junk pc's came out. They all seemed like a wast of time until the Victor 9000 showed up. It had 800 by 600 resolution, 128K of memory and would run real compilers. I rewrote all of the business software on my NCR to run on the Victor, and I never looked back. Well actually I did look back. My choice of the Victor over the IBM was a big mistake. Who would have thought marketing could trump technical superiority?
