There's nothing worse than having somebody else's interests stuffed upon us. Each person has their own interests whether it be model train sets or climbing up Mount Everest, or going to the local pub. That's what makes life interesting, everyone is different. That you like Star Trek or whatever doesn't mean you will do a better job in IT or fit in better. There's more to IT than the sci-fi bit.
