Video: Three Sticky Notes tips for Windows 7 power users

The idea behind Sticky Notes in Windows 7 is pretty simple. Instead of writing the not on a piece of paper and sticking it to the side of your monitor, you can create a digital sticky note and stick in on your Windows desktop.

But just because they're digital, doesn't mean user will treat them any differently. For people who write their passwords on paper sticky notes and stick them to their monitor, Windows 7 Sticky Notes let them do the same thing digitally. Have you seen people do this? Take the poll and let me know.

Why exult Windows 7 when it's only Vista made to work?

If I remember correctly, Sticky Notes were available on Mac OS9, and have been through all the incarnations of OSX.

Just buy a Mac and begin to live!

I'm perfectly capable of spotting a troll without compensation. Check my history; you'll find I've posted the same comment multiple times, replacing 'Apple' with 'Windows' or 'Linux' as appropriate. A few weeks ago I was accused of being an Apple shill and getting kickbacks from Jobs. I encourage you to be more active than you've been in the past; you may start to notice trends in the post of many members and can get a more rounded idea of where they're coming from.

Nice, thought it was cool in the beginning of the video, the person was sticking the note to a Mac not a PC. Stickies have been on Macs forever.

I thought so too...the irony... Was that the first clip they found in the archives which fit the narration? Just a coincidence that it was a MAC? And did they notice? Wow.

Is it possible to put a sticky note on someone else's user account so that when they login, they will see this new sticky note?

Should there be a way to VIEW sticky notes in different ways, like MS Outlook Calendar? - list, week, month, etc? And with a right click on the stiky note task bar icon, should there be a search option?

Of course the shortcut works only with the native (English) version of Windows 7:-)

Actually makes me want to use the Sticky Notes in Win7 again.

How do I obtain that long script to search through sticky notes?

Great video on the use of Sticky Notes and the Search function is outstanding and works well on Win 7 32 bit.
However, is does not function when used in the 64bit version of Win 7.
Can you provide instructions on how to modify the Search script for use in win 7 64 bit?
