in the New American Bible, St. Joseph Edition, all of the "principal" books of the New Testament were "redacted" by the end of the first century A.D..

I suppose they use the term "redacted" because some of the books are collections of shorter texts which were written at different times, and subsequently recorded as if they were a single work (e.g., on a single scroll).
