I've spent 3 months of valuable free time trying to find fixes for the myriad of problems with Firefox:
1. Loads into processes but does not start visibly on screen or in applications
2. Takes up to 90 seconds to load
3. Takes up to 40 seconds to close
4. Crashes at least 3 times an hour.
I've been given suggestions on forums but nothing from Mozilla themselves. I've encountered other folks with the same problems, but we can't fix it.
I switched to Chrome and actually spent my free time doing the things I wanted to do instead of fixing the browser
