16x9
BRay has so many production issues to make it worth my time. It is better suited as a DataStorage of movie content. Just burning BR-DVD's, 2 hour movies takes 6 hours, let alone the conversion and authoring time. As a DataDVD with 28-40?gig of storage, a BR player that reads VC-1.wmv's, could hold maybe 10 HDV.resolution 2.x hour movies.
I have no HDV,1280x720 out put on my editor, just 16x9. But guess what? It appears full screen on an HDV.resolution hdtv. HDV resolution is likely 80% of what consumers have bought to view hdtv signals. HD,1920x1080 will show a 16x9 video signal, letter boxed, black top and bottom, where you use Zoom to view full screen. BR-DVD is still linear, higher bitrate=larger filesize=higer quality. BR software and burners are priced well these days, it is still the correct OEM blank media for that burner, where it fades to dust, unless your buying 1000 blanks at a time.
