Training End Users on an Agile System Development Project

Hi, I'm the PM of a training stream on a system development project. We have a large community of end users that need to be trained (500+). As an Agile development project, we don't have design documents to develop our training material from. With a fixed launch date and development slipping, we have lost the time we had scheduled between system completion and go live for completion of training materials.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to develop training materials for end users for a system that hasn't been completely designed or developed. We are struggling with this. Thanks.

I have an excellent book starting with the Rational Unified Process, it would just about teach the course for you, beginning with the foundations on which Agile is built. But I don't have 500 copies, and the book is in German, so I'd suggest you check out the web site above.

with unmanaged, not the first to make this mistake I assure you.
Best bet and you'll probably end up with much better documentation, would be to get a selection of your users, and have them make a start on it. That's what you should have had in place from day one near enough. Seeing as the training docs are as much of a moving piece as the system, got to be done in tandem. It would have given you a better handle on where your priorities should have been during the project as well.
