but only in a sane usage.

there is little to be gained by using user ids as labels for partitions. [ an example of course, GNU/Linux systems are now using UUID for the fstab. This is the file that is used to mount partitions during boot. ]

it really doesn't make sense to use uids for internal hard drive partitions. maybe for removable media like a thumb drive, but not for the internal hard disk.

UUID being Unique User ID.
