Tried that, did not fly because it seems that MSN Messenger Voice Chat is an essential APP, most of my in-laws (who live in diffrent countries use it to stay in touch with each other).
I could could not find anything that provided MSN voice chat on Linux... and trying to convince one to move to another chatting platform like Skype, means that I will need to convince the whole family to switch over (which is very hard: I do not know them all that well and that they live in different countries.
I guess MS still has some lock-in power over many around the world
